    Hey guys,
I have the Skycharger B6AC+ (I think it's the same charger) and have been charging an 11.1V 3S 2200 mAH without the balance charger. Just select the "Lipo Charge" cycle without the balance and it will work. It will also shut off when full. Just won't be balanced. Oh, I made a Deans connector out of one of the lesser used cables that came with the charger.

    Hope this helps.

RC, the way I read his email, he wanted to charge it with ONLY the balance lead and not the main lead.  I think he needs the main lead with this charger and it won't support charging through the balance lead only.. did I misread the post?

Nope TC, you read it right. Now that I loook at it.
It won't work with the balance lead. It won't do squat with the balance lead.

The answer to his question is Yes you need to plug in the dean's connector - assuming of course the dean's connector is the charge lead.

Just got my new Skycharger  :woohooguy:This thing's awesome!!

So much faster than my old E sky charger that came with my Honey Bee. Cut my charging times in half!

Since I'm looking at not only helis but EDF and other electric aircraft I'm going to need a decent charger. The one I'm seriously considering is the MRC Super Brain Palm AC/DC Charger. Costs about $10-$15 more than the Sky Charger from Xheli/Hobbypartz, but I'm willing to pay the extra. Balance charges 1-4 cell LiPo, LiFe and Li-Ion, will also charge up to 10 cell NiMH/NiCd and 12v gel cell lead acid. Standard XH balance lead connector, alligator clips for everything else. MRC price $79, can be had for as low as $60 at online shops.

Offhand, that doesn't look more capable than a Thunder AC6 or it's many alter egos, and it costs more. Maybe I'm missing something though.
