flybarless systems
« on: November 21, 2010, 10:42:29 AM »
Is there anyone who has used or is in the processes of getting one I have a few questions

1. Can the unit be set up to help a new polit who as a problem with correcting, ie left movement and then needing a little right  to compensate , will the unit do it for you?

2. Which is the better unit we all have an opinion but which one really works the best, from ease of programing to actual flight?

These are two of my questions mostly I would like to get a system that I can put on a 450 pro to help with photography of houses and so my wife can fly too would like to put it on a 500 or 600 in the future if the idea works for house photos.

On the Walkera systems you can turn the gain up on the stabilizing system and that makes it fairly steady. I does not correct accidental movements by the pilot. For example if you bump the cyclic to the left it will still go left it just won't wobble as much. It is only meant as an electronic replacement to the mechanical flybar. If you are looking for a stable platform for photography you should look into Helicommand, KDS Fly mentor or the FMA Co-Pilot system. Those use sensors to hold the heli in a specific position and will recover the heli for you in case you completely lose control.

Solo-Pro, CB180D, 4G6, CX/Align500TT(fbl), 450 Pro, 250, Various planes, X1 quad....etc  DX7i       Clearview sim.

Steer clear of the gyrobot900, pain in the :censored:. Mine's being swapped for a skookum sk720.

I've had co pilot, its good, but drifts.
Helicommand will be better, but still drift at altitude. Unless you buy there gps version, mega bucks!!
