Watch out when using JST connectors - quite easy to plug them in the wrong way round with disastrous results for ESC etc.. The 'keying' in the connectors are too small.

I've marked the ones on my HoneyBee after nearly blewing up the 4in1. The others I've come across are Deans and XT60's. The connectors are shaped so they resist going in the wrong way round. The XT60's are a joy to solder and apply heatshrink to imho.

Very good information to have, well done.

I have a charger that charges packs with a white balance plug (JST-XH plug I think. On Lightmax and Sky Lipo packs).  I was given an older 3 cell li-po pack with a used helicopter I bought that is a black balance plug with a hook clip (Thunderpower Plug I think).  The white plug has 4 different colored wires and the black plug has 3 red wires and one black one.  I understand there is one different wire per cell and a common wire.  My question is would it be better to clip off black plug and replace it with a white one for charging or locate an adapter wire for charging.  I am capable of the solder work but does the order of the three wires make a difference?  Of course I know obviously the ground wire has to be in the same spot.

P.s. It's Flighmax The Blue Simble Is A F, Its Hard To See.

Anyways With The Thunder Power Balancing Tabs, They Ground Every Cell Instead Of Having 1 Common Ground For All The Cells. What I Did Is Made An Adapter That Took Out The Second Ground Wire.

So The Plug That Went Into The Battery Had 4 Spots For Wires. But I Left One Wire Out And Made The Other 3 Go Into A Standard JST Connector And It Balances Perfect.

Hope This Helps. And Sorry If It Doesn't Make Any Sence, I Took A Few Shots Of Alcahol, Lol, Shooting The :censored: With The Fam And Having A Good Time

Hello to all: Can anyone tell me where I can purchase some Anderson Powerpole connectors. I'd like to convert all my 1800mAh batteries.

Thanks for the info.
