« on: October 21, 2010, 09:52:42 AM »
Hello Guys,
My boss is selling his RC car, it is a nitro traxxas rustler FM version...

It is stoped for a long time!

Is it only fuel and run?

Is it a dificult maintence car? Because I don't know nothing about RC nitro engenies...

All Depends. But Nitro Can Be A Pain, But It Can Be Fun. Personally I'd Get An Electric. Just As Fast. Easier To Maintain And Setup, And Just As Fun. My Electric Will Hit 80Mph Easy. I Have A 10.5t Brushless And Can Run Up To A 6s Lipo. Alsp MAXAMPS Makes Some Batteries Like 10,000+ Mah More Then Enough Runtime. I Use About 2000-3000 In A 6min Race.

Yeah, I don't understand the obsession with nitro. They're noisy, expensive, a pain to run, require constant money output in the form of fuel.
Forget it and buy a brand new electric.  :130:

1/10th Scale Short Course Truck! They Look Most Like The Real Thing Out Of EVERY Rc Class. They Drive Real Realistically And Are Very Durable. I Recremend For 2wd The HPI Blitz

For 4wd The OFNA Jammin.

And Again Personally I Like The 2wd. Cheaper And Funner To Drive, More Of A Challenge. And Novak Makes A 10.5t Brushless System That Works PERFECT For It. 190 For The Truck And 150 For All The Upgraded Electronics. Truck Comes Fully Loaded And Is THE MOST Durable Rc I Have Ever Owned. And I've Had A Lot. It Impressed Me A Lot.

Electric more expensive than nitro?

Ya right! :laugh25:

I can go roughly two years before my nitro engine is considered outdated (usually parts production stops) and I have to stop sourcing parts... and it's still just as competitive as modern engines.  Right now I'm running a GRP Tuned and it's still kicking :censored: of every other modern RB and Nova.

Compared to a brushless setup... ya right.  The initial cost of of an electric setup is way more than a nitro setup, and you never get the lifespan before it's considered outdated.

the engine on a nitro might last longer but with nitro you have to keep purchasing fuel...with electric just buy a bettery and a charger and you are good to go.

Thumbs Down. I've Been Using The Same Brushless Motor For Atleast 2-3Yrs Now. And Bought It Used. Never Cleaned, Never Opened, Still As Fast As Day 1!

Yup Running A 9.5t Brushless Offroad. And With 6s LiPo Can Easy Hit 80Mph On Straights. But No Track Can Handle 6s ;) Usually Only 2 Or 3 Cell
