Done with Clones
« on: June 09, 2012, 04:19:27 PM »
Well i've done it now, i just Ordered an Align 450 and yea I'am know backing up, but need something cheaper to repair when crashed,  :laugh25:  :laugh25:  :laugh25: because lord knows i've tore up some parts here lately.  I started to order another clone EXI but considering my last clone 500 is now probably has 50/60 % or more of it  has been replaced with Align parts so i figured it was time just break down and buy the Real thing   :125: any suggestions on battery choices the specs call for 11.1V 3S Li-Po 2000~2300mAh battery ,  HK has the Turnigys at a great price but none in stock in the US warehouse, knowing that would mean 4-5 weeks  to get here from the Int. warehouse there out of the picture

Order them from the HK warehouse and get EMS shipping.  Trust me, they still cheaper and probably better performing than Thunder Power.  At least go shop Thunder Power and once you do, you will have NO problems to pony up for the EMS  :frokkel:

What?!  Your new heli has a flybar?  For shame!   :laugh25:  :laugh25:
I don't always fly a good gyro, but when I do, I prefer Vbar...Stay inverted my friends!

Blazemob decided he was done with clones, got the T-Rex 450 Pro FBL version and doesn't like it anymore then his previous clones. And now he's got a Chaos 600  :lolol:

Flybar is much harder to build,set-up,more parts to break=more money.Flybarless is easier to build,set-up,you can have more pitch, less parts to break...

Umm haven't tried ordering with EMS   :132:      And yea I know it   Wanye but the Barless models have the Old style FBL head on them and with the price difference between kits  i can put a DFC head and a 3gx on it for just a little bit more than the 3gx model Later  When my wallet recovers     :125:

harder to build if you dont know what are you doing but...

what you didnt mention is stability
that is one +  (for beginners)

all other its for disregard if you know fly and crashes it not constantly

after watching video of Tareq only one question is... do you really need fbl

+1 for the DFS head, though I am flying the Mikado head which I have no complaints about, but -1 for 3GX!  (I'm a Mikado man  :laugh25:  :laugh25:  :laugh25: )

:132:   Well zokipu  For me I've had a lot better success with a barless DFC and the Spek Beast X than i ever did with a flybar heli the barless does not have that delayed reponse time like a flybar heli  For me flying is not so much the problem it's the precise nose in manuevers  and the tipping over during landings the 450 is just a cheaper!!!  way for to get better at the precise close up  moves  :132:  Besides Everybody but Wayne and Desert Rat has missed the point of this  Post   :lolol:  :lolol:  :lolol: Tried of clones and Mainly help with a good  choices for a Battery for a 450

I didn't miss your point, just pointing out that T-rex's are not completely problem free themselves and more then a few people don't like them any more then they like clones. But good luck with your T-rex  :130:

I do not think that there is anything that problem free. Any kit will have their own issue, but how crucial the issue is, that's what important.

I don't agree that clone are bad. I have Tarot 450pro, and very happy with the quality. I don't need to replace any part with other brand, but I did. I did replace the the main gear and auto gear with Align, hoping it should be better, not warp. But I was wrong, it's the same thing. I also replace the stock damper with KBDD.

What I don't understand is, why people only looking for cheap price. You get what you pay. There are some good clone out there; Tarot, ALZRC and Chaos. I don't own the last two, but I read good review about it.

I can't weigh in on this from any great depth of experience, but I can say I've flown the  :censored1: out of my HK450 Pro--and with mostly stock parts.  I've been very happy with it, and it can fly far better than I can fly it!  I have crashed it several times, but all but one or two were my fault.  I do have the odd Align part, and I do find them to mostly fit a bit more precisely most of the time, but not always.  I also have other clone parts here and there, like Copter X and EXI, and they work well, too.  I have moved up to a good gyro and tail servo, Futaba 401 and a JR 3400, and that has probably made more difference than anything else I did.  For me, there's still a place for clones.  I might not have gotten into CP if they weren't around!
