For 1/10 "Light" cars/trucks ex.2WD buggies, 2WD SC Trucks, TC cars. Hobbywing EZrun 35-60amp esc with a 9t motor RIPS! it will run NiMh and up to a 3s lipo. i use it with a 2s lipo and for $60-80 for the whole combo its best bang for the buck. i use it and i bash hard, and race harder. and very satisfied.

Thanks for the info. My buggy is a 4wd does that matter?
Cars are all new for me. Build some heli's in the past.

We have a few of them in 4wd 1/10 buggies and work pretty good. as long as you don't gear it up to high. And your just going to be using it to boot around? and (2s lipo / 6-7c NiMh)? If so i'm certain you'll be happy with hobbywings performance For your buggy. For 4wd I'd make sure you get at least a  9t. and HW also has a voltage cutoff of 3.6v/Cell under load. Which is alright. and has thermal protection so it doesn't overheat and blow.

Do you have a link of the motor and ESC?

I have a Yokomo YZ-10. You might not heard about it.

Never herd of that. i mostly just do strict racing so a lot of my stuff is tekin/thunderpower/trinity and such. hobbywing is only in my offroad bashers that i rarely race. it performs well for a "open" class. it a 320 size motor in a 540 can. TONS of cooling and minimal torque which works excellent for offroad. (but i can still do wheelies in my 2wd :220:) ive gotten the motor to 180" multiple multiple MULTIPLE times. and it just thermals and after it cools runs perfect again.

*** NOTE *** that last link i just noticed it was the 35amp esc. i could not find the combo with the 60amp. i also use the 35amp with 9t in a 4x4 buggy and get about 7mins of hard racing on a very tight track and then it thermals. bashing i get like 15mins then battery is close to empty.

I use Tekin ESC and Futaba servo. Yeah, at that time is not much to choose. Not like now, so many chinese made electronics.
I have 7S NiCd batt. I think if I would convert it to LiPo, I would use 2S. I don't drive much, I think I will just replace the batt to Lipo. This car has configuration of 4s and 3s batt in series.
