Venom Night Ranger 2
« on: May 13, 2012, 07:54:23 AM »
My mate is watching one one ebay with intention to buy , the add says it is rare but it looks a bit like the honey bee v1. Would like to know if it is a re-badged honey bee and would the parts for the bee fit the venom night ranger . Reason i ask is that parts for this helli on the net are discontinued  :132:, don't want him to get it if no parts are out there .

Many Thanks

It does look like it was based on the Century Hummingbird and Feda Dragonfly just like the HBFP V1 (yes it is a clone), It also looks to be discontinued when I did Googled it (it still had the NiMH battery)... Sooo I would stay away from it unless yo ujust like out dated helis that are rare and hard/impossible to get part for....

These are a few links I found for it....

Spare parts are still available at this time   http://www.xheli.com/veniraiihere.html

Just like the Esky Honey Bee, it comes in FP or CP.... :220:

Just forget that heli. Get a Walkera Super FP. Spare parts is highly available and you can use the Tx for future heli/plane. It has 15 model memory.

Just tell him to stock up while he can :laugh25: :laugh25: :laugh25:

I would take a very close look and maybe even try to swap out some parts to see if some are the same as the ones on your V1.... :132: Might be good to know.... :220:

Had a quick look at the venom tonight and it looks pretty close to the v1, the boom on the v1 is about 1 inch longer than the venom but the tail motor & housing looks the same. Looking at the rotor head on the venom looks to be very close to the v1 but like i said it was a quick look, although the skids are the same layout they are smaller/ lower down  than the v1 but the rotor head stands higher so looks like the main shaft could be longer   :132: . Looks a nice Helli to be fair with a nice canopy and i feel he may get away with the v1 parts / well some of them i think , if it gets him into the hobby then it will be worth it and he is well aware that it is a long hual to get flying right  and not a 2 minute job.

I was wandering if you could swap out the center hub and up, they look different but may still work... Plus they are cheaper :laugh25: :laugh25: :laugh25:
