Hang on a sec ..
The thread title says AR6210 .. Where does the AR6100 come into it ? .. lol ..

Anyway, I think I understand now .. I found a pic of your TG6100M so I could see for myself ..

So if I understand correctly, you dont know where to plug in the Green and Blue wires ..

Well ..

CH5 = RX Gear - Gyro Gain (Green) .. Switch between HH / Rate Modes ..
CH6 = RX Aux - Pitch Control (Blue)

So plug these into the corresponding sockets on your RX and bobs your uncle

(I hope)

If thats not right, swap them around and see how that goes ...

Trial and Error good friend

:132: schultzy,if only things were that simple,i like the photo, that's the one.Now it's that gyro that needs to connect to the ar6210rx  :130: :130: so far so good, now this is the problem!! when connected in the way most forum members suggest all i get is twitchy servos (as if they were binding) stick with me!!! now i've read on other sites that the servos should go (not into the gyro) but into the ar6210rx BECAUSE the gyro is a E-CCPM MIXER as well as a HEADING LOCKING GYRO,so it's not just a gyro. :215: :215: :215:

:132: :132: i've just read a couple more articles on different sites and it says you need to by pass the e-ccpm and then it works well as a standard gyro,if that's the case how is it done??? :132: :132:

So let me try understand a little more ...
You only want to use the GYRO for the Tail Servo and nothing else on the TG6100M ?

So then ..
Plug your Servos directly to the RX, except the Tail Servo as it still plugs into the RUDD channel on the Gyro.
Plug RUDD (Yellow) from the Gyro into the RUDD on your RX.
Plug CH5 (Green) from the Gyro into the GEAR on your RX.

Now comes the problem ..
You only have 1 power plug from the ESC, to power both units and since the power throughport on the Gyro is the Aileron, you cant use that into your RX ..
Solutions ..
1. Get a Y splitter from the ESC so you can plug power directly to the RX and Gyro unit.
or
2. Take the Aileron wire (White) out of the 3 wire plug on the Gyro and put the Throttle (Orange) wire in its place. Then plug that into the Throttle connection on the RX.
Then plug the ESC into the THRO on the Gyro and it will feed power to the RX via the THRO connection.

Head Hurts Now ...

:138: :138: schutzy,we're nearer, but not out of the woods yet,1,yes we need only use the gyro:::::::::::: correct!!! now the problem in connecting up the servos is there's aileron  :215: :215: (L) and a (R) have a look at the photo on your previous post. but nearly there, it does sloooooowly make sense,by the way have you tried it  :laugh25: :laugh25: :laugh25: or am i the test lab rat  :220: :220:

Ail(R) will be your Pitch Servo .. Right Side of Heli ..
Ail(L) will be your Aileron Servo .. Left Side of Heli ..
*or is it the other way ? .. I always seem to get those 2 mixed up ..  :laugh_6:

I don't understand why you need to know this if you are connecting the servos direct to your RX though and NOT through the Gyro ...  :132:

Labrat ? .. I don't know what your talking about .. :chicken:

I am going from my experience with the Flymentor, it has all the same wires etc .. But they are clearly labelled and it just works with any RX  :happyyes:

No no no  ..
That Gyro unit is the only one I have ever seen that says Ail 1 / Ail 2 ..
There is only 1 Aileron on your Heli .. The other is the Pitch Servo ..

There are 2 slots on your RX for these ..
One of them is named AIL .. This is your Aileron Servo ..
One of them is named AUX .. This is your PITCH Servo ..

I'm sure we covered that already

Ok just looked at this post was helping you through another post.  Since you have a dx6i you don't need the mixer function of the gryo.  Just connect the rudder and channel 5 to your rx.  Then connect the Aileron, Pitch, and Elevator servos directly to your rx.  Also connect your esc directly to your rx.  Since you are not using the mixer functions of the gyro you don't need to connect the throttle, aileron, pitch, or elevator wires from the gyro.  Just make sure your rudder servo is connected to gyro. (Did this with a flybarless copterx unit before I had a flybarless head just to try out the hh function of the gyro).   I haven't heard to many good things about this gyro so I would go and replace it with even a cheap clone gyro and get just as good results.

Why fly what everybody else is flying Gaui 425/550 CopterX 500se v2, Thunder Tiger E325, Hk450pro gt, Blade 400, CopterX 450sev2, FHH 250, Gaui 200, heli-max Novus Cp,and Blade MSR

Hey Ceo, welcome to the battle ..

The problem with your suggestion is that the Gyro Unit gets its power from the Aileron connection, not the Rudder connection ..
So he will need to modify the power connection into the Gyro to suit, or add a 2nd power cable from the ESC.

Now comes the problem ..

Then plug the ESC into the THRO on the Gyro and it will feed power to the RX via the THRO connection.

The 2nd option here is I think the best option, although I would like to ammend it a little ..
Instead of plugging the Throttle (orange) into the 3 plug, use the Rudder (yellow)

I'm glad you got it working, although I have to say I'm a little baffled on your Gyro - RX connections ..

You have the ESC direct into the RX Throttle ..
You have all Servos direct to the RX, Rudder Servo to Gyro ..
Rudder (yellow) from Gyro into Rudder on RX ..
B/R/W from Gyro into Gear on RX .. (power to gyro) .. This is the one I question ..

Ok, I understand all that and that it is working for you .. But ..
The B/R/W cable from the Gyro is the Aileron connection on the Gyro ..
This will do nothing if you want to adjust the Gain via TX or switch the Gyro from HH to Rate mode ..
You need the (Green) wire from the Gyro connected to the Gear on the RX to be able to adjust your Gyro via the TX and to switch modes ..

Although having the Gain dial on the Gyro itself will overcome the sensitivity problem, your still locked into HH mode only.

:130: :130: schultzy, your bang on the money,my skills at the moment mean i'm more than happy with the head hold arrangement.I will at some stage change over to a standard gyro.I suppose the challenge was just to get the thing funtioning. :thank-you: This might be another poser for you but what's (a)the benefit of connecting up the gain(green) wire?,(b) what's the downside of not doing it? and (c) how would YOU get around it.  :132: :132:

Honestly the only thing that would be different is that you could make adjustments to the Gyro Gain via the TX settings and switch between modes as you wanted.
If you want to change it, then I would suggest swapping the White wire in the B/R/W plug with the Green wire, then plugging the B/R/G into the GEAR port on your RX.
But that's just me .. I like to have everything functioning to it's best capability  :coool:

If your happy with it locked in HH mode, then there is no need to change it.
