Build videos
« on: March 06, 2012, 05:51:14 PM »
My problem is I cut out parts at work and by the weekend I have my project built.
In the past when I was flying airplanes I was able to build on Friday and Saturday and fly a plane on Sunday. (small planes) large planes took me about 3 weeks.
Now that I am building helicopters and quad copters I can just let the parts sit that I cut out at work!
Days past I had a building devoted just for airplanes and helicopters
Now with the helicopters (electric) and the quad copters I build them in the house on the kitchen table.
I like the clean of electric powered big boy toys. (as long as the boss isn't home)
That may be why I can never do a build video.
Maybe someday I need to S L O W down! And do one! :132:
Just my thought of the day!
And the real bad part my Son is a camera man and edits and makes videos!

:laugh25: :laugh25:  Isn't it always the way.  Like a plumber or electrician.  Does everyone else's stuff but never their own.  Anyway mate,  when you get them done post them up for us.

Now, question, I've following your thread on quads.  Is it possible to make the arms from carbon fibre arrow shafts or do you think they would be too thin?

I think they may be to thin :132:
I seen some carbon fiber tubes 12mm $16.39  for four. :130:
I am going to use some Trex 500 tail booms.

:hi: RC These folding frames look a bit of alright.  It says a 600mm wheelbase.  http://www.goodluckbuy.com/kk-mk-x525-quadcopter-folding-frame-quad-rotor-friber-glass-multicoptor.html

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I have been thinking about CF one myself BUT.  :132:
Not sure how it will hold up learning to fly a quad copter.
The one I scratch built is way over weight, as a matter of fact my 600 Helicopter is lighter. :222:
I have am going to try before the weekend to cut out a new one. :220:
