Hahaha that sounds like a nice project...
though i think it will be expensive

i'd get three victor speed controls, a wheelchair motor (for sterring), and a vex robotics 6 channel transmitter and receiver.

use the victors to control the back two motors and the steering motor. then use a y cable to split the signal to the victors that control the back two motors

the vex transmitter is programmable so you can control the speed of the steering and other stuff.
