Helicren,
I dont know of any main gears that would fit as I have not had any need to look and anyway I have
           only ever stripped one.
Maybe I should look around just in case I need one later one.

Mark if you have this what ever you like to call it with the Esky company then why do you still keep producing your build
guides of there helis. I dont really want to know but just seems a bit odd. Dont get me wrong as you know I was proberly the
first to ask you to do the video's and I have most of them.

I make guides for beginner helis, not just ESky. I started making guides for ESky helis because they were at one time I felt they were the best option for people looking to get into the hobby but didn't have alot of money. Now however, they are fast becoming the last company I'd recommend to anyone.

Despite my feeling towards ESky, I will continue to make beginner guides for beginner helis, regardless of the brand. I really have no plans on making any more guides for ESky helis and since they won't be releasing a new heli for a few years it wouldn't matter anyways.

g, I don't even own either the E-Smart or 900 anymore...

Sorry for the brief hijack...

Hey Marc! How's it goin? We were in Sayre Tuesday and Wednesday. I had my heli with me, but we were pretty much working from sunup to sundown, so I didn't even bother calling you because I knew we wouldn't have time.

What are you flying these days? Do you still have the HK-600?

It is a real bummer about E-Sky..... the E-Smart was the first heli larger than a 450 that I ever saw fly... it was Fatdaddy's at his first funfly. There's something about the way they fly.... the sound... the smoothness... idk... that's unlike anything else I've seen. FD offered me a pretty good deal on one last summer, but with the parts support going down the toilet.... and subsequently the resale value... it just wasn't worth it.

Tues and wed I wasn't around anyways  :happyno: lol

I still fly my HK 600GT. Smoothest heli I've ever owned. Just about time to get back into AP, well as soon as the grass grows and trees get some leaves, everything looks like crap this time of year

Mark,
I understand I think. But if you feel the way you do about the Esky company and you use there products to show everyone
then the way I see it is you are displaying and advertising there helicopters and thats a plus for there company and people
who watch your video's may think that you are endorsing the Esky helicopter when as I know I think you are not. Is that
          about right or not.

I had thought about deleting my older ESky videos but fact is alot of people still watch them and if I deleted them I would not be helping as many people as I can by leaving them up. They have alot of views and are advertisments for my Website and this forum, not for the helis I used in the vids. When I want to promote something I make it obvious in my vids but the majority of my vids have nothing to do with promoting anything other then myself. If someone watch's my vids and thinks I only promote ESky, well so be it, but when you add up my beginner guides, I've actually done an equal share of ESky and other helis.

ESky Co-Comanche
HBFP V1
HBFP V2
HBK II
Belt CP
Belt CP V2
Belt CPX
900
E-Smart

Fire Fox EP200
HK 250
EXI 450
HK 500GT
HK 600GT
Exceed RC Blazing Star
Exceed RC Falcon 40
Exceed RC Eagle 50
Walkera V200D02

Exceed RC Piper Cub
Xheli EC-135 (which did use a Belt CP V2 but wasn't actually about the BCP V2)
Fusuno Airwolf 450

And really, these days the only ESky heli I mention is the HBFP V2. But as I mentioned even my support for that is diminishing.

With Walkera coming out with that CP FBL motor tailed V400D02, I've been thinking recently that it might be a good beginner heli. Low parts count... more stable... albeit more dangerous.

What in the world is ESky doing? They had good brand recognition and some great products.... but they're just vanishing from relevance.

Hey Mark,
Don't ever delete any of your video's as you should know I have allways given you top marks for them
as proberly has other people who have purchased and watched them.
I still have some of your videos that you sent to me for "FREE" these were the early ones which I watch
              from time to time. :138:
Have you ever thought of doing one of the Align models or an Aeolus 50 3D V2 this is my next project  :125:
I have now gotten the kit and all the electrics including all the extra bits to operate and run the Nitro
motor. The model I got has the torque tube and cnc parts not the one on Hobby city but this is great value.
The hardest part is to find the time these days to build it.
I have also a HK600gt that was full of align parts that I am now converting to a complete Align 600 with torque tube
and elictrics just like an Align 600 combo comes out of the box.
I have another HK600gt which will have all of its own original made parts used on it and no align parts at all I have
been trying out the HK600gt parts and I have not had any problems with these at all so this project is on its way
and doing well. just have to decide on what motor as I was using the Align 600 motor.
As I said finding the time to build or rebuild these helis is very hard.

Well by for now and keep up your good work.

I really have no plans to make guides for the more expensive kits like Align and Aeolus. The main reason is I want to focus on helping beginners to the hobby and make guides to go with the beginner helis. Most people won't need my help after learning to fly plus Finless Bob has already made guides for all the more expensive/pro heli kits so I figure I'll stick to ones for beginners (and ones that don't cost a fortune).  :coool:

Marc I thought you would say that but the Aeolus is not that costly.

         hobby city =                Aeolus-gf                       $124.95
"             =             asp S46H                       $ 49.99       & these get some good raps around the traps
"             =           servos                             as per normal use what you want
              "              =           gyro                                   "                      "
              "              =            receiver                              "                     "
              "              =            govener                               "                      "
              "               =           battery                                 "                       "
"               =            extras                             to set-up and run a gas heli.
        tower hobbies    =          O.S. Max 50 sx-h ringed motor   $189.96

Someone wanting to get into these helis would cost around the same or less than the electric ones like the HK600gt.

Just my thoughts

                       fitzy.

unfortunately hell would have to freeze over before I buy another RC nitro anything  :laugh_6:, some like them I hate them :2cents:

The longer runs times are cool but thats it, in my opinion thats the only thing Nitro has over Electric.

Well mark,
I did not think you disliked the nitro's so much.
I dont know if I like them or not but I will give most things ago
and if its not tried then how will we no.
I think it should be pretty cool it will be abit like my old control line
model days only I wont be getting the fingers wacked with the propeller
while starting the motor. Boy that used to hurt on a cold day.

Actually,

It's not entirely true that people won't need your help after learning to fly ...

I buy the Bobby Watts and Bert Kammerer videos, and find them fantastic tools ...  but I also go back and watch the Nuttcaze vidz that got me into the hobby in the first place -- call me Krazy!

I'm building a new SMartie, and I just took a look at the build vid to refresh my memory.  I used the video to make a new observation that helped me with my build:
I installed the servos before assembling the frame!  Marc said installing the servos sucked, no matter how you look at it ... but not if you do if first!

Just an example.  And a coupla cents worth of gratitude.

Later, WhirlyKatz!

PS  Still useful, after all this time ...

I actually do have a 900 to get to fly someday - when I get better. Aside from watching Marc's video on it, I got one BECAUSE it does look different and I like that. I am also scrounging the planet for parts! I do have quite the parts stores going on here :lolol:
